We are pleased to invite you to #WorkingWhileBlack, the National Black Worker Center Project’s introduction to our work, campaign and affiliates.  The event will be held at the AFL-CIO headquarters located in Washington, DC.  We anticipate a rewarding event where we will introduce the next phase of our organization’s commitment to addressing the Black job crisis.  At the event we are uniting a community of labor leaders, community activist, elected officials, and funders to enter into a coalition tasked with shifting the balance of power.

We invite you to share your story of inspiration, struggle, and determination.  It is through the power of our stories that we will make change imaginable and urgent.

A special thank you is given to our co-sponsors Surdna Foundation, Ford Foundation, and the AFL-CIO.

Please review and or complete the enclosed program schedule, hotel, travel, registration information and timelines.   Questions about the event may be directed to Tanya Wallace-Gobern via email twgobern@nationalblackworkercenters.org
