Ricardo White is the Social Media and Marketing Strategist at the National Black Worker Center. An immigrant from the island of Jamaica, he brings the island’s brightness and joyfulness to his design work and strategies. Ricardo has extensive web and graphic design experience and specializes in growth marketing and brand strategy. In his role Ricardo leads our creative strategy process, optimizing NBWC’s online performance, and plays an integral role in translating our brand voice on social media and marketing materials. He understands the power of storytelling and places this tool at the center of our social change narrative. Prior to coming to NBWC he worked on visual content, marketing, and social media campaigns for nonprofits, labor organizations, and for-profit businesses. As a true islander, he possesses a passion for music and songwriting and has an extensive catalog of original reggae and dancehall music. His love and proclivity for social justice work and the fight for equity comes from some of his idols like Bob Marley, Haile Selassie, Claud Anderson, and Nanny of the Maroons amongst others.
