Our Work

Centered at the nexus of racial and economic justice since our founding in 2011, the National Black Worker Center unites Black workers across employment sectors through organizing, advocacy, and educational programs. We build the power needed to free ourselves from systemic racial and economic oppression in workplaces and throughout society.

HOW WE EXECUTE OUR WORK

Through advocacy and policy analysis, we combat systems that maintain the systemic exploitation of Black workers.

We shift the narrative for Black workers by creating and disseminating authentic Black worker stories, lifting visions of our future, and developing clear, compelling strategies to achieve that vision.

We continuously grow and strengthen our NBWC network.

We train and develop Black worker activists to lead and organize in their workplace and communities.

We launch regional and national campaigns that build power for Black workers.
