The chief manifestations of the Black job crisis are high unemployment and the proliferation of low-wage work. The root of the problem is structural, not individual. Too often, solutions are put forth that concentrate solely on individual uplift through education/training or entrepreneurship without changing basic power dynamics. Solutions must be crafted that rely on collective action and not just individual achievement.


The financial support of our partners helps us break down these structural barriers. Those barriers are racism and discrimination in the workplace, and they continue to infringe upon the rights of Black workers. Our work centers on Black workers for we know, when Black workers win, ALL workers win.
